Jacket Tennis earns second-straight win

TIFFIN, Ohio—The Defiance College Men’s Tennis team earned their second-straight win with a 5-4 defeat of Tiffin University on Monday afternoon in Tiffin, Ohio.

Singles winners for the Jackets included Wes Auld at the #6 spot, who beat Richard Donaldson 6-3, 6-2. Nathan Butler and Jared Sponseller also won at the #2 and #3 spot, with 1-6, 6-0, 6-0, and 6-3, 6-2 wins, respectively.

Stefan Faerber and Butler teamed at the #1 doubles spot to defeat Phil Conley and Andrew Mortck, 9-7. Jeff Meyer and Sponseller earned a 8-1 victory at the #3 doubles position, defeating Roberto Mazza dnd Josh Grandis.

The Yellow Jackets are now 4-8 on the season and will travel to Bluffton University today (4/5) for a 4:00 p.m. match with the Beavers.
