Yellow Jackets Continue Play at Hilton Head

| HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Defiance continued its week of action in Hilton Head, S.C. on Tuesday, dropping a 9-0 decision against West Liberty State in its 12:00 pm match, before having its 6:00 pm contest against Penn State-Behrend cancelled due to rain.
DC was swept in doubles action for the second time in as many days, with the closest match coming at the No. 3 contest. Defiance’s duo of Aaron Cottos and Lachmon Bratton earned five points but fell 8-5.
All six singles matches went in straight sets to West Liberty State, with the best action happening in the No. 2 bout. DC’s Austin Kleman forced a tie-breaker in the first set before suffering the 7-6 (8-6), 6-4 loss.
Defiance falls to 1-3 with the loss on Tuesday. The Jackets will play two more matches on Wednesday in Hilton Head.
