GREENWOOD, Ind. – Defiance College’s Justine Johnston continued her stellar pitching performance this past week, with her playing earning her recognition as the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week for the second straight time.

Johnston was a key player in DC’s 4-0 week, as she picked up two wins in three games, while holding opponents to a paltry 1.00 ERA. Johnston needed only five innings of work against Heidelberg, giving up only two runs on seven hits as the Jackets cruised to a 12-2 victory.

Johnston is now tied for the team lead in wins with eight. Defiance currently sits in first place at 8-0 in conference play, 17-15 overall.
