Yellow Jacket Softball sweeps Heidelberg

TIFFIN, Ohio--- The Yellow Jackets had four powerful innings at the plate to beat host Heidelberg College, 9-1 in game one of the Thrusday double-header.

Kacy VanderHorst was responsible for two homers while Monica Sigurdson and Kalette Peters each hit one.

In the second contest the DC bats powered the Jackets to a 15-5 victory.

VanderHorst added another homer in the second game to finish the day with three. Jessica Smith's homerun in the fifth inning gave the Jackets six total for the day.

Defiance is 7-7 on the season and will travel to Denison University Saturday. The double header will begin at 1:00 p.m.
