Three career-bests set at Joe Banks Invite

ADA, Ohio—Three DC Yellow Jackets set lifetime bests at the Joe Banks Invitational at Ohio Northern University on Friday afternoon.

Tom Habenicht and Stacy Hall, both running the 1500 meters, set their career bests, with Habenicht ending in 4:17.31 for third place, while Hall finished in 5:19.19, good for second place.

Matt Fleig also had a good outing, running 22.47 in the 200-meter dash, the best time of his DC career. Eric Nicely finished second in the pole vault at 4.57 meters. Eric Swartz ran a 16.71 in the 110-meter hurdles, good for fourth place.

Sarah Plas ran a 16.96 in the 100-meter hurdles, finishing second, while Kristyn Tooley bounded 9.79 meters in the triple jump. Rachel Moore finished second in the javelin at 32.82 meters.

The Jackets will next host the Heartland Conference Championships on Saturday. Field events start at 10:30 a.m., while running events begin at 11:00 a.m. Admission to Justin F. Coressel Stadium is free for the HCAC Championships.
