Matt Fleig named HCAC Athlete of the Week

DEFIANCE, Ohio-- Defiance College’s Matt Fleig (Maumee, Ohio/Maumee) helped the Yellow Jackets to a second-place team finish at the Joe Banks Invitational at Ohio Northern and has been named Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Co-Men’s Track and Field Athlete of the Week.

The senior sprinter finished second in both the 100-meter and 200-meter dash at the event. Fleig posted a time of 11.05 in the 100-meter dash and he completed the 200-meter dash in a personal-best time of 22.47.
