Jackets compete at UF Classic

FINDLAY, Ohio—The Defiance College Indoor Track & Field squad competed in day one of the University of Findlay’s Indoor Classic on Friday evening with some impressive results.

Eric Swartz and Steve Langley currently rank fourth and sixth, respectively, in the “B” flight of the men’s pentathalon, while Julie Kern ranks 23rd in the women’s pentathalon with 1982 points.

In the men’s weight throw, Trevor Matuszak ended in 20th place with a 44’ 8 ¼” effort. Nic Niehaus and Ryan Gladieux threw 37’ 6 ¾” and 31’ 2 ½”, respectively.

The DC team will finish up competition today (Saturday) at the UF Classic.
