Jacket Track at Cincinnati Early Bird Relays

CINCINNATI, Ohio—The Defiance College Track & Field squads ran at the Early Bird Relays at the University of Cincinnati on Saturday.

Matt Fleig finished third in the 100-meter dash at 11.02 and fourth in the 200 at 22.73. Eric Nicely took second place in the pole vault at 13’ 11 ¼”, while Matt Fosnaugh came in fourth with a leap of 13’ 5 ¼”. Alan Thompson took fifth in the triple jump at 39’ 8’ ¾” and eighth in the long jump at 18’ 11 ¼” and Kristyn Tooley finished sixth in the triple jump at 32’ 8 ¼”. Nic Neihaus took seventh in the hammer throw with a distance of 120’ 10”.

The Jacket athletes will next host the Dick Small Invitational on Saturday starting at 10:00 a.m.
