Jackets host Dick Small Invitational

DEFIANCE, Ohio—The Defiance College Track & Field squads hosted the 11th annual Dick Small Invitational on Saturday with junior Kristyn Tooley winning the triple jump at 9.39 meters.

Tooley was the lone Jacket winner, while sophomore Eric Swartz took second in the 110-meter hurdles, third in the high jump at 1.78 and fourth in the javelin with a toss of 46.30 meters. Matt Fosnaugh took second in the pole vault at 4.27 meters. Freshman Nic Neihaus ended the hammer throw in fourth place at 37.25. Senior Matt Fleig took fifth in the 100-meter dash at 11.21.

Rachel Moore took fifth in the 30.81, while Amanda Zimmerman finished eighth in the 800-meters with a time of 2:36.21.

The Jacket runners, jumpers and throwers will next compete at the Beaver Invitational in Bluffton, Ohio on Saturday April, 1.
