Jacket Track impressive at Beaver Invite

BLUFFTON, Ohio—The Defiance College Track & Field teams competed at the Beaver Invitational on Saturday afternoon at Bluffton College.

On the women’s side, even winners included Stacy Hall in the 1500 meters at 5:16.34, Kristyn Tooley in the triple jump at 9.79 meters, and Rachel Moore in the javelin with a throw of 33.92 meters.

For the men, Matt Fleig took the 100-meter dash at 11.14, while Eric Nicely won the pole vault at 4.42 meters and Trevor Matuszak edged teammate Nic Neihaus in the hammer throw at 38.14, good for first place.

Defiance College Track & Field will host the Yellow Jacket Open next Saturday at Justin F. Coressel Stadium.
