Friday Night Series Meet #4 Results
ADA, Ohio – The Defiance College women’s track and field team finished third at the Ohio Northern Friday Night Series Meet #4, totaling 97.50 points on the night.
Trevor Matuszak and Brad Zarembski both captured individual titles as Matuszak stretched his winning streak in the weight throw to four meets in a row with a winning toss of 58-00.25, while Zarembski won the high jump clearing 6-02.00. Austin Trivett helped DC grab a one-two finish in the high jump, finishing second after clearing 5-11.50.
Eddie Mason, Seth Bidlack and Dan Orta all garnered third-place finishes as Mason finished the 300m in 37.01, while Bidlack ran the 800m in 2:11.08 and Orta had a toss of 42-03.25 in the shot put. Nic Alvarez came within one second of breaking the school record in the 1,000m, finishing sixth with a time of 2:40.91. The 4x400m relay team finished second with a time of 3:41.23.
