GREENWOOD, Ind. - With the completion of the 2006 Volleyball season, the HCAC has named its all-conference selections, with Defiance College's Corrie Farley and Danielle Rego earning First Team and Second Team honors, respectively.

This is Farley's first selection to the All-HCAC team in her collegiate career. She finished the season second on the team in digs with 505. Farley holds Defiance College career records in digs with 1,685 and games played with 413. Farley earned HCAC Player of the Week honors on September 17 after totaling 152 digs, 57 kills, and 9 blocks over the course of the previous week.

The Yellow Jacket co-captain had one of her best matches of the year in a 3-2 win against Illinois College on September 15 where she put up 16 kills and 30 digs.

For Rego, this marks her second all-conference recognition in as many years. Rego led DC in four categories, including games played (103), kills (306), service aces (40), and total blocks (94.0). She registered at least three kills in every match played this year and had a block in every game but one.

Also one of the Yellow Jacket co-captains, Rego had one of the best matches of the year in the postseason clincher on October 31 against Bluffton University where she had 16 kills and seven blocks while hitting .469.

Defiance finished the season with a record of 9-20 and 3-5 in the HCAC.
