Lady Jacket Volleyball wins HCAC opener

ANDERSON, Ind.—The Defiance College Lady Jacket Volleyball team won their HCAC-opener on Tuesday night, downing Anderson University 3-1 in Anderson, Indiana.

In the 30-28, 30-23, 22-30, 30-23 win, Danielle Rego led the way in kills with 19 and added three blocks. Julie Steineman had 11 kills and four blocks, while Jill Evans dished out 45 assists. Corrie Farley and Diane Bruns led in digs with 27 and 23, respectively.

Defiance is now 11-8 overall and 1-0 in the HCAC. The Lady Jackets have two home games coming up against Hanover on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. and Tuesday versus Franklin at 7:00 p.m.
