DC Volleyball still looking for first conference win
Nick Williams, Assistant SID
ANDERSON, Ind. - The Defiance College Volleyball team's skid has hit a season-high four matches as the Yellow Jackets were defeated by HCAC opponent Anderson University Tuesday evening by the scores 30-17, 30-22, 32-30.
DC played fairly well offensively and defensively as the team was able to put together 37 kills and 76 digs. However, giving up points hurt DC's chance at victory, as the team committed ten reception errors and seven service errors.
Dani Rego led the Jackets in kills with ten, while Ashton Judis had a team-high 19 assists. Corrie Farley and Diane Bruns each had 21 digs, with Rego adding three blocks.
Defiance (6-14, 0-2 HCAC) will host a tri-match this Saturday against Mount St. Joseph and the University of St. Francis. DC will play Mount at 10:00 a.m. and take on St. Francis at 3:30 p.m.
