Jackets Sting the Beavers on Senior Night

--DEFIANCE, Ohio—In the last home match of the regular season, the DC Yellow Jacket Volleyball team picked up another conference win against rival Bluffton University on Tuesday night by the scores, 30-20, 22-30, 30-12, 30-27.

On a night where Defiance honored its two seniors, Julie Steineman and Jill Evans, the duo helped give Defiance a big conference win that could possibly secure a #2 seed in the HCAC Tournament this weekend. Evans led the way with 33 assists while Steineman added 12 kills. Daniello Rego led the team in kills with 15, while Diane Bruns dug out 14 balls.

The Yellow Jackets end the regular season with an overall record of 19-11 and 6-1 in the conference. DC will travel to Cincinnati on Saturday to begin play in the HCAC Tournament but will have to wait one more day to find out what their seed will be.
