CHICAGO, Ill. - The Defiance College Volleyball team split a pair of grueling five-set matches on Friday night in the first day of the University of Chicago Tournament.

The Lady Jackets fell 3-2 (26-30, 30-20, 30-16, 30-32, 15-13) against Lake Forest before rebounding to edge Illinois College in another five set match (30-22, 20-30, 30-26, 25-30, 16-14).

DC moves to 4-9 on the season and will take on Concordia (WI) and North Park in Saturday's action.
