DEFIANCE, Ohio— The Defiance College Yellow Jacket Volleyball team lost a thrilling five-set match against Huntington University by the scores 30-26, 23-30, 16-30, 30-24, 17-15.

After going up 2-1, Huntington rallied in the fourth set to tie the match at two games apiece. At one point in the fifth set, the Jackets were down 5-10 to Huntington. Through some great timely digs and kills, Defiance was able to tie the match up at 15 apiece. However, by way of a long serve and a missed block. Huntington was able to take the match.

Julie Steineman led the Jackets in kills again with 17 while Corrie Farley had 16. Jill Evans handed out 48 assists. Five Jackets ended up in double digits, including Diane Bruns, who had a season-high 20.
