Yellow Jackets are champions of the DC Invitational

-DEFIANCE, Ohio—The Defiance College Yellow Jackets took home first place at the Defiance College Invitational, in which nine teams participated. The Jackets won three out of their four matches in the tournament en route to the championship.

The Yellow Jacket won matches against Spring Arbor University, Geneva College, and the championship game against Grace College. The only match Defiance lost was a five-set tug-of-war against Huntington University. Defiance's Julie Steineman was one of six players named to the all tournament team. During the tournament, Steineman totaled 67 kills, 60 digs, 14 blocks, and 11 aces. In addition, Jill Evans handed out 159 assists in the four matches she played.
