DC Volleyball Ranks 2nd Nationally in Digs

--Defiance, Ohio—The Defiance College Lady Jackets rank second in the nation in digs-per-game in NCAA Division III Volleyball.

At 26.0 digs-per-game, DC trails only Rose-Hulman, who averages 26.14 per-contest. Sophomore Corrie Farley, an outside hitter from Berkey, Ohio, leads Defiance with 4.82 digs-per-game, while senior Nikki Retcher (Defiance, Ohio) and junior Julie Steineman (New Bremen, Ohio) have averaged 4.63 and 4.25 digs, respectively.

The Lady Jackets are 17-6 on the 2004 season with a 3-1 mark in the HCAC. DC will host Transylvania on Saturday at noon at the Karl H. Weaner Center.
