DC VB drops two

--Franklin, Ind.—The DC Lady Jacket volleyball squad dropped two matches on Saturday in Franklin, Indiana to Marietta College and Franklin College.

Against HCAC-foe Franklin, Defiance fell 30-23, 24-30, 23-30, 31-29, and 10-15. Jill Evans led in kills with 20 while also having 22 assists. Diane Bruns led in assists with 23 while Corrie Farley had 25 digs. Julie Steineman and Mandy Owens had four and five blocks, repectively.

In the 24-30, 30-26, 23, 30, 30-22, 15-17 loss to Marietta, Owens led with 16 kills and four blocks and had 24 digs. Bruns again led in assists with 22, while Evans added 17.

DC is now 18-9 overall and 4-2 in the HCAC. The Lady Jackets will return home to face Goshen at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday.
