Lady Jackets win on Senior Night

--Defiance, Ohio—The Defiance College Lady Jacket Volleyball team won 3-1 versus Goshen College on Tuesday night at the Karl H. Weaner Center.

DC won the first game, 30-24, was beat in the second 24-30, and then won the third and fourth, 30-28 and 30-24.

Mandy Owens led the Jackets in her last game at home, scoring on a team-high 15 kills and added five blocks and 12 digs. Junior Jill Evans was equally impressive with 13 kills and five blocks, to go along with a team-high 24 assists. Corrie Farley and Julie Steineman added 11 and 10 kills respectively, while Farley added 17 digs, and Steineman, five blocks. Senior Liz Falls added 18 digs.

Defiance is now 20-9 on the year with a 4-2 mark in the HCAC. With the win, DC accomplishes their fourth consecutive 20-win season.

The Lady Jackets will wrap up the regular season at the Calvin College Tournament in Grand Rapids, Michigan on Friday and Saturday. Next weekend, DC will travel to Manchester College for the HCAC Championship Tournament.
