Franklin Ends Lady Jackets’ Season

--N. Manchester, Ind.-- The Defiance College Lady Jackets’ ’04 season came to an end with a 1-3 loss to Franklin College in the HCAC semi-finals on Saturday night in North Manchester, Indiana.

DC had some good performances against the Grizzlies with Mandy Owens scoring on 12 kills and two blocks. Julie Steineman had 11 kills and six blocks, while Jill Evans dished-out 27 assists. Diane Bruns had 17 digs for Defiance.

The Lady Jackets achieved a 21-14 record on the year with a 5-2 mark in the HCAC regular season. This is the fourth consecutive 20-win season for Defiance College Volleyball.
