DC's Diane Bruns named HCAC Player of the Week

GREENWOOD, Ind. - For her performance this past week, Diane Bruns of Defiance College was named Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week.

Diane Bruns (Maria Stein, OH/Marion Local) of Defiance had 124 digs in three matches this past week, also adding eight service aces in three matches, including a season high six against DePauw on Oct. 29. The senior totaled a season high 56 digs against Franklin College in a crucial conference match up. Bruns currently leads the team in digs with 568 and leads the HCAC in digs per game (6.62 dpg). Defiance's record is 8-19 and 2-5 in the HCAC.
