Defiance College’s Julie Steineman (New Bremen, Ohio/New Bremen) helped the Yellow Jackets to a 3-1 record at the Mount Union Purple Raider Invitational over the weekend. Steineman was named to the all-tournament team and averaged 3.6 kills, 3.1 digs, and 4.0 blocks per game. Defiance topped Waynesburg, 3-2, Case Western Reserve, 3-1, and Kenyon, 3-0, before falling to Mount Union in the championship round, 3-1. The Yellow Jackets are 3-1 this season.
