Jacket Volleyball wins in 5
N. Manchester, Ind.—The Defiance College volleyball team outlasted the Manchester College Spartans in five games on Tuesday night to improve to 15-10 overall and 5-1 in the Heartland Conference.
In the 29-31, 30-18, 22-30, 33-31, 15-11 win, Jill Evans led the Jackets with 47 assists and seven blocks. Danielle Rego had 28 kills, while Julie Steineman added 17 kills and 14 blocks. Diane Bruns and Corrie Farley led in digs with 22 and 21, respectively.
The Jackets will next travel to Calvin College (Mich.) for a Friday-Saturday tournament hosted by the Golden Knights.
