7th Ranked Lions Beat Jackets

--Cincinnati, Ohio—The Defiance College volleyball team lost to the host school in the finals of the Mt. St. Joseph tournament in Cincinnati on Saturday evening, 3-0.

The Mount beat the Jackets 30-28, 30-22, and 30-17. Julie Steineman led Defiance with 13 kills, while Mandy Owens had three solo blocks, three block assists, and 18 digs. Jill Evans led the way 12 assists.

The loss drops the Lady Jackets record to 14-5. They next play Tuesday at Bluffton at 7:00 pm.
