Yellow Jackets finish Mount St. Joseph Tourney in Third Place

CINCINNATI, Ohio—With a win in their fourth match of the tournament, the DC Yellow Jackets end up in third place in the Mount St. Joseph's Invitational Tournament Saturday evening. Defiance beat Baldwin-Wallace in a five-set match by the score 28-30, 30-24, 20-30, 30-22, 15-7.

Danielle Rego led the Yellow Jackets in kills for the second straight match with 16, in addition to her two blocks. Julie Steineman and Corrie Farley also contributed seven kills apiece. Jill Evans, who was one of four players named to the all-tournament team, finished the match with 37 assists, while Brittany Cooley eight assists of her own. Both Corrie Farley and Diane Bruns established new season-highs in digs with 33 and 29, respectively. Shannon O'Dell blocked five balls.

Defiance begins conference play as the Yellow Jackets travel to Indiana to take on Anderson University on Tuesday, October 4.
