DC Volleyball first drops two of the year

ALLIANCE, Ohio The DC Volleyball could not get the 2006 season off to a winning start as the team dropped the first two matches of the year in the Mount Union Invitational against Malone College and Geneva College in straight sets.
In the first match, DC fell by the scores 30-19, 30-19, 30-16. Dani Rego had eight kills in the match while Ashton Judis led the Yellow Jackets in assists with 10. Corrie Farley had 13 digs while Rego had 12 digs of her own. Danyel Lipps contributed 6 blocks and Shannon O'Dell had five.
In the nightcap, DC dropped the match by the scores 30-26, 30-24, 30-17. Lauren Aldridge put up eight kills while Rego had seven. Ashton Judis set 27 assists, with Farley digging out 20 balls. Lipps had four blocks while Rego had three in the match.
The Yellow Jackets (0-2, 0-0 HCAC) start the second day of the Mount Union Invitational against Dickinson College at 9:00 a.m.
