DC Volleyball gets first win in doubleheader split

ALLIANCE, Ohio—The DC Volleyball squad picked up its first win of the season with a 3-1 win against Dickinson College of the Mount Union Tournament by the score 31-29, 30-21, 21-30, 30-27. The team later fell in its second match of the day against Westimnster College by the score 31-29, 30-20, 30-28.

DC's performance in the tournament earned themselves a sixth-place finish. Dani Rego had 12 kills in the win against Dickinson, while Ashton Judis dished out 51 assists. Diane Bruns contributed 49 digs in the victory. In the nightcap of the doubleheader, Danyel Lipps had 12 kills, with Judis again the leader in assists with 33. Bruns also led in digs with 23.

The Yellow Jackets (1-3) travel to Tiffin Tuesday evening to take on Heidelberg College at 7:00 p.m.
