DC Volleyball hits skid against Otterbein

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The Defiance College Volleyball team could not pull out a victory against Otterbein College as the squad was defeated by Otterbein College by the score 30-25, 22-30, 30-26, 30-23.

Corrie Farley had 32 digs in the match to increase her career total to 1,501. Farley, who now holds the school record for career digs, broke the record against Illinois College in the University of Chicago Gargoyle classic two weekends ago. She broke the previous record of 1,366, held by Mandy Owens.

Freshman Danyel Lipps led the team in kills with 22 for the match, a season high. Danielle Rego and Libby Creps each added 12 and 10 kills, respectively. Ashton Judis handed out 39 assists, the second highest total for Judis this season in a four-game match. Diane Bruns led the team in digs with 38.

Defiance (6-12) begins conference play on Saturday afternoon when the team travels to Indiana to take on Hanover College at noon.
