Lady Jackets Stomp Saints

--Cincinnati, Ohio—The Defiance College women’s volleyball team beat Thomas More College on Saturday afternoon, 3-1, to advance to the finals of the Mt. St. Joseph Tournament.

They defeated Thomas More 30-28, 30-22, 25-30, 30-19. Nikki Retcher led the way with 14 kills, while Mandy Owens had 13 of her own. Corrie Farley had 25 assists, while Retcher chipped in with 21. Owens and Julie Steineman each had 3 solo blocks for the Jackets.

The win moves the Lady Jackets’ record to14-4. They play the winner of the Mt. St. Joseph-Capital game at 4 pm Saturday for the championship.
