DC VB downs Transy, 3-0

--Defiance, Ohio—The DC Lady Jackets swept the Pioneers of Transylvania University on Saturday afternoon at the Weaner Community Center.

Julie Steineman had a great all-around game for Defiance, scoring on 10 kills and four blocks, while adding 10 digs. Jill Evans game through with 17 assists and seven kills, while Mandy Owens added four blocks herself along side Nichole Billups who had eight kills. Brittany Cooley, Diane Bruns, and Corrie Farley played well below the net with 11 assists, 13 assists, and 16 digs, respectively.

The Lady Jackets took the first game 30-25 and 30-23 in the second frame. DC pulled away in the third contest, winning 30-18.

DC is now 18-6 overall and 3-1 in the HCAC. The Lady Jackets return to action on Tuesday when they travel to Tiffin University.
