DC Volleyball beats Transy in straight sets
--LEXINGTON, Ky.The DC Yellow Jackets swept the Pioneers of Transylvania University 3-0 on Saturday afternoon at the Beck Center in Lexington.
Defiance was able to come up with the win less than 24 hours after playing Mount St. Joseph's in Cincinnati. After making the two hour trek to Lexington, the Yellow Jackets did not show any signs of fatigue or letdown after last night's loss, winning the match in straight sets. Julie Steineman finished the day with 15 kills and three blocks. Jill Evans came through with 27 assists, 10 kills, and two blocks, while Corrie Farley added 11 digs. Brittany Cooley, also contributed eight assists of her own.
DC is now 14-9 overall and 4-1 in the HCAC. The Yellow Jackets return home on Thursday when they take on DePauw University at 6:30 p.m..
