Lady Jackets End Season at HCAC Championships

INDIAN HILL, Ohio – Defiance College wrapped up its 2007 fall season with an eighth-place showing at the two-day Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships. The Jackets improved by seven strokes on the second day and finished with a two-day total of 1,091.

Kelci Wunderlich improved by 17 shots in the second round and finished 29th to lead all Defiance players, while Tracy Sauter carded a 124 each day and finished in 31st. A pair of DC players also showed improvement on the second day of action, as Sharon Fortkamp improved by ... (read more)

Lady Jackets Tune Up for HCAC Championships

WABASH, Ind. – Defiance College played its final regular season tournament of the fall campaign on Saturday, ending sixth at the Manchester Invitational. The event was DC’s last before competing in the Heartland Conference Championships on Oct. 13 and 14.

The six-team event was made up of all HCAC teams and was won by Franklin as the Grizzlies cleared the field by 12 strokes with a 350. Rose-Hulman ended second after totaling a 362 and Manchester took third with a 403. Anderson (415) ... (read more)
