INDIAN HILL, Ohio – Defiance College wrapped up its 2007 fall season with an eighth-place showing at the two-day Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships. The Jackets improved by seven strokes on the second day and finished with a two-day total of 1,091.

Kelci Wunderlich improved by 17 shots in the second round and finished 29th to lead all Defiance players, while Tracy Sauter carded a 124 each day and finished in 31st. A pair of DC players also showed improvement on the second day of action, as Sharon Fortkamp improved by two shots and Shanna Chuenyane knocked 33 strokes off of her round one total.

Franklin won the team event with a 699 and was followed in the standings by Rose-Hulman’s 740 and Transy’s 753. Katie Tewell led the Grizzlies with her third-straight HCAC Championship after posting a 152.
