Two Jackets Earn All-HCAC Honors

GREENWOOD, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference announced its all-conference teams on Tuesday, November 6. DC’s Sarah Plas and Cherilyn Borkholder each earned Second-team All-HCAC recognition for their efforts this season.

Sarah Plas earned All-HCAC honors for the second consecutive season, after being named to the All-HCAC Second Team a year ago. A two-year captain, Plas anchored a defense that helped the Jackets outscore opponents 15-5 in their last seven victories....(read more)

DC Closes Out Season, Defeats Anderson 1-0

ANDERSON, Ind.- The Defiance College Lady Jackets finished their season with a 1-0 victory over Anderson University on Saturday, October 27. DC moves to .500 in the HCAC (4-4) with the win, falling a half game short of the final spot in the conference tournament.

In the 29th minute, Jessica Conley scored the game-winner off a Hannah Davis pass to give the Jackets a 1-0 victory. Defiance finished the match with ten shots, led by Kaitlin Monberg and Cherilyn Borkholder with two apiece...(read more)

DC Falls to Manchester 3-0

DEFIANCE, Ohio - The Defiance College Lady Jackets dropped a 3-0 decision to Manchester College on Tuesday, October 23. The loss snaps a four-game winning streak for the Jackets, who fall to 3-4 in HCAC action.

Manchester scored twice in the first half before adding another part way through the second half to take home a 3-0 victory. The Jackets were unable to find the net for the first time in seven games in a battle that only saw 16 shots between the two teams....(read more)
