Lady Jackets rout Dogs

DEFIANCE, Ohio—The Defiance College women’s soccer team defeated Adrian College 5-1 on Thursday afternoon at Winsper-Knobel Field.

Deirdre Trujillo had two goals for the Lady Jackets, while Tiffany Chudinski assisted two scores. Katie Klear added a goal and an assist, while Emily Armstrong assisted on a breakaway goal by Michelle Kavanagh. Kaitlin Monberg had the final DC goal in the 50th minute.

The Jackets outshot Adrian 27-8, while Sarah Sutter had three saves for Defiance. Adrian had more corner kicks, 5-3, while also outfouling the Jackets, 14-10.

The Bulldogs fall to 0-6 on the season.

The Lady Jackets are now 1-3-1 on the year and will host Lake Erie College at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
