ANDERSON, Ind.- The Defiance College Lady Jackets finished their season with a 1-0 victory over Anderson University on Saturday, October 27. DC moves to .500 in the HCAC (4-4) with the win, falling a half game short of the final spot in the conference tournament.

In the 29th minute, Jessica Conley scored the game-winner off a Hannah Davis pass to give the Jackets a 1-0 victory. Defiance finished the match with ten shots, led by Kaitlin Monberg and Cherilyn Borkholder with two apiece.

Andrea Galbraith and the DC defense posted the sixth shutout in their last 10 contests. Galbraith finished the match with six saves, giving her 105 saves on the season. The game closes the curtain on the collegiate careers of DC seniors Jessica Gamble and Michelle Kavanagh.

Defiance finishes its season having won five of its last six matches to move to 8-9 overall on the season. The Jackets outscored their opponents 13-2 in those five victories.
