Lady Jackets 3-0 in the HCAC with win over Anderson

--Defiance, Ohio – Defiance College women’s soccer team won Wednesday afternoon against the visiting Anderson Ravens, 2-1.

Senior Megan Murray scored in the first period with a Devin Degg assist in the 14th minute. Anderson had an own goal in the second period with two minutes to go to give DC the win. The Raven’s Carrie Sprinkle had the lone goal with the assist by Sara Ferguson.

DC Freshman Sara Sutter had three saves in goal against Anderson facing 16 shots. Sophomore Abby Trueblood from Anderson had no saves on Defiance’s four shots.

Anderson had a total of 11 fouls to Defiance’s ten.

Defiance is now 8-3-2 and 3-0 in the conference. The Ladies next game will be on Saturday at Hanover College at 1:00.
