Baldwin-Wallace ends DC Women’s Soccer’s winning streak
Nick Williams, Assistant SID

BEREA, Ohio – The Defiance College Women’s Soccer team could not extend its winning streak to three as Baldwin-Wallace took Saturday evening’s game by the score 3-0.

Baldwin-Wallace got on the scoreboard first with a goal by Jenny Miller in the 32nd minute. DC held B-W without another goal throughout the rest of the first half and most of the second until Baldwin-Wallace put in another goal in the 71st minute, this time by Kristi Michaels to go up 2-0. Another goal by Courtney Brown in the 81st minute put the last exclamation point on the game, as Defiance was unable to come back from the deficit.

The DC Yellow Jackets were held in check offensively, as Baldwin-Wallace limited DC to only five shots, two of which were on goal by Jessica Bosserman and Dierdre Trujillo. Stacey Bosserman made three saves in goal.

Defiance (3-5-1) will have little time to dwell on the lost, as the team takes on Albion College tomorrow afternoon at 12:00 p.m.
