Lady Jackets Beat Bluffton 1-0

Bluffton, Ohio – The Defiance College Yellow Jacket women’s soccer team won 1-0 Tuesday against Bluffton in Bluffton, Ohio.

Senior Jessica Hoeppner from Archbold, Ohio scored the lone goal for the Jackets from 20 yards out in the 54th minute.

Freshman Sarah Sutter from Hamilton, Ohio had nine saves, which makes this her fifth complete-game shut-out on the season. Defiance had 19 shots-on-goal while the Beavers had 10.

The Lady Jackets had four corner kicks and six fouls while Bluffton had 10 fouls.

Defiance’s next game is Thursday at Ohio Wesleyan at 7:00 in Delaware, Ohio.
