Lady Jackets show improvement in loss to BW

DEFIANCE, Ohio—The DC Lady Jackets’ soccer squad fell 1-2 to the 7-2 Baldwin Wallace Yellow Jackets on Saturday afternoon at Winsper-Knobel Field.

Katie Klear scored the lone Jacket goal in the 72nd minute, brining the Jackets to within one score. DC, however, could not overcome first-half BW goals by Whitney Zunic and Jamie Seahoff.

Sarah Sutter had five saves for Defiance, while Deirdre Trujillo put four shots on goal.

DC was narrowly outshot 13-12 and had four corner kicks to Baldwin Wallace’s none.

The Lady Jackets are now 2-5-1 overall and will host John Carroll on Tuesday at 4:00 p.m.
