COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Defiance College Women’s Soccer dropped a close match, 1-0, to Capital University on Sunday, September 23. Capital improves to 5-2-1 on the season, while the Lady Jackets fall to 1-6 with the loss.

The game remained scoreless for the first 33 minutes of the game, before Capital’s Katie Krantz scored what turned out to be the game-winning goal. DC keeper Andrea Galbraith picked up three saves on the day, while keeping all but one of the Crusader’s 15 shots out of the net. Michelle Kavanagh led the Jackets with three shots (two shots on goal).

Defiance College returns to action on Wednesday, September 26, when it hosts Heidelberg College in a non-league matchup. The match is set to begin at 4:00 p.m.
