Lady Jackets fall in home soccer opener

--Defiance, Ohio—The DC Lady Jackets fell 1-0 to Case Western Reserve in their 2004 home opener to go to 1-1-1 on the season.

The Spartans got the lone score of the game 11 minutes in, while freshman Sarah Sutter made 20 saves for the Jackets. Krista Gray and Sara Baillie each had two shots on goal, but were unable to crack the goal line.

The Spartans outshot the Jackets 32-7, and had four corner kicks compared to DC’s three.

The Lady Jackets will travel to Adrian on Tuesday for a 3:00 game against the Bulldogs.
