KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Defiance College Women’s Soccer fell to 1-2 on the season after a 5-1 loss to Kalamazoo College.

Defiance jumped on the board early as Melissa Alston punched a shot in to give the Jackets an early 1-0 lead just 11 minutes into the game. Kalamazoo would take over from there scoring five unanswered goals over the remaining to 79 minutes to come away with the victory.

DC put six shots on goal, including two from Cherilyn Borkholder, but a trio of Kalamazoo goalkeepers teamed up to keep all other Defiance shots from finding the net.

The Yellow Jackets will return to action on Wednesday, September 12, 2007 when it hosts St. Francis (Ind.). Kick-off scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
