Lady Jackets Fall to Kenyon

--Defiance, Ohio—The Defiance College women’s soccer team fell at home to Kenyon College on Tuesday evening, 2-1.

The Yellow Jackets held a 1-0 lead midway through the second half, but could not hold on, as Kenyon scored two late goals to pull out the victory. Defiance scored its goal on a first half corner kick by Krista Gray that landed in the net. Sarah Sutter had 20 saves for the Yellow Jackets on a busy night in goal.

The Ladies out-shot the Lady Jackets 34-7 in the contest and had seven corner kicks to Defiance’s four. Defiance committed four fouls, while Kenyon was not called for one.

The loss drops the Lady Jackets record to 3-2-2. They play at Lake Erie College on Thursday at 4:30.
