DEFIANCE, Ohio - The Defiance College Lady Jackets dropped a 3-0 decision to Manchester College on Tuesday, October 23. The loss snaps a four-game winning streak for the Jackets, who fall to 3-4 in HCAC action.

Manchester scored twice in the first half before adding another part way through the second half to take home a 3-0 victory. The Jackets were unable to find the net for the first time in seven games in a battle that only saw 16 shots between the two teams.

Defiance put up five shots on the day, led by Cherilyn Borkholder with two. Michelle Kavanagh had DC’s lone shot on goal as her header made it past the keeper, but was kicked away by a Manchester defender. Andrea Galbraith finished the day with five saves, putting her one away from a 100-save season.

Defiance (7-9) will return to action on Saturday, October 27, when it travels to Anderson University for a HCAC matchup. The match is set to begin at 1:00 p.m.
