DC Women's Soccer drops last match of the year

--CINCINNATI, OhioThe Yellow Jacket women's soccer team was overmatched by the Lions of Mount St. Joseph on Saturday afternoon in Cincinnati, as DC lost the game 7-0
Six different Lion players scored at least one goal. For the Jackets, Kaitlin Monberg had two shots on goal, while Tiffany Chudinski and Abby Kolodziejczyk each added a shot on goal. In all, DC put five of their eight shots on goal, against MSJ's 19 shots on goal out of 37. MSJ outkicked DC in the corners 12-2, but each team committed eight fouls.
Sarah Sutter had 12 saves for DC in the loss, blocking six shots in each period.
Although the loss drops Defiance to 7-9-1, the Yellow Jackets still qualify for the HCAC Tournament as the #4 seed. DC won't have to wait long for a rematch against the Lions, who will be the #1 seed in the tournament. The Jackets will take them on again on November 2nd at Cincinnati.
