Lady Jacket Soccer Earns Win

--Oberlin, Ohio—The DC women’s soccer team won 2-0 at Oberlin College Sunday afternoon on the strength of two Katie Klear (Continental, Ohio) goals.

One of Klear’s goals came on an assist from freshman Michelle Kavanaugh (Williamston, Mich.), who had a great weekend with a goal in Saturday’s tie with Ursuline.

Freshman goal keeper Sarah Sutter (Hamilton, Ohio) had 17 saves in the Jacket’s first win of the season. Defiance registered 21 shots on goal to eventually earn the win.

DC, now 1-0-1 on the season, opens their home schedule on Saturday, September 11th, when they host Case Western at 1:00 p.m.
