Lady Jackets Score Road Victory

--Anderson, Ind.--The Defiance College women’s soccer team topped Rose Hulman in a showdown at the Anderson Tournament on Saturday afternoon.

Defiance came out with a hard fought 1-0 victory. Sara Baillie scored the only goal in the 15th minute of the first half. The assist on the goal went to Krista Gray. Sarah Sutter was solid in goal, racking up 15 saves in the shutout.

Rose Hulman did manage to outshoot Defiance 22-9, but couldn’t get any of those shots to land in the net. The Jackets committed six fouls to Rose’s five on the day.

The win brings the Lady Jackets record to 3-1-2. They next play Kenyon at home on Tuesday at 5:00.
